On December 16th, Shinichi visited his family doctor at the mental health clinic. A couple of weeks prior, he had scheduled an appointment for his regular health check and received prescriptions for his epilepsy medication. Since he had already been vaccinated against the flu, Shinichi spent over an hour at the clinic and pharmacy, which was longer than a typical appointment. However, while awaiting his prescriptions at the pharmacy, he saw the waiting time as a valuable opportunity to read a book.

During winter, more individuals tend to seek medical checks than in summer. At least twenty people were awaiting their prescribed medications at the pharmacy, each with designated numbers. Shinichi made good use of his time by reading books and reflecting on his memories.
He Saw An Unique Machine In A Hospital in His Childhood
In his childhood in Tokyo in the 1990s, Shinichi has been diagnosed with epilepsy. While awaiting his medical check, he saw a unique machine called the Telelift, which transports documents throughout buildings. While awaiting his medical check-ups, Shinichi was excited to watch this machine in action as it delivered paper medical documents.

Currently, most clinics and hospitals manage medical documents electronically. However, Shinichi recognizes that this data management method has advantages and disadvantages. He discovers such educational topics in journals, media, and magazines.
