Q: In most countries, customs that pay tips have taken root in their culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Write at least 250 words.

In some countries, customers can be grateful for providing excellent services by paying tips. In other countries, guests do not need to give it to the staff. I agree with paying several coins as a token of gratitude to the working person. That is a great social system for each other. This essay will explain the advantages of paying tips.

On the one hand, there are some advantages to paying tips. First, guests can leave coins for staff as a token of appreciation. For instance, hotel guests can show gratuity by leaving several coins. Engaged people can enhance the morale of working. Consequently, the hotel can obtain a good reputation. Next, some customers can increase the ratio of tips. In other words, they can also imply appreciation by the number of coins as a tip. Because of these reasons, staff can provide the best service to receive it.

On the other hand, there are several drawbacks to accepting tips. First, some skilled staff can get a lot of income. Conversely, some clumsy workers may lose opportunities to learn working skills. For these reasons, they would lose their motivation for work. Next, customers have to bring additional changes. They must calculate detailed prices by currency. As a result, some customers take away from shops and restaurants. Also, such customers take a long time to pay in crowded shops or restaurants, and other customers behind them may become irritated. Consequently, customers may visit other shops or restaurants to purchase items.

To sum up, I agree with paying tips for service staff. First, customers or guests can appreciate the working team by giving it. Second, they can thank their appreciation by the rate of tips. Overall, shops or restaurants can obtain regular customers.
